Integrative Hyperbaric Medicine and Health Optimization is a specialized division of Hyperbaric Medical Solutions (HMS)—an independent, hyperbaric oxygen therapy provider—that aims to educate people about the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) via telemedicine consulting, advocacy and education practices worldwide. Dr. Scott Sherr is the director of Integrative Hyperbaric Medicine and Heath Optimization at Hyperbaric Medical Solutions. In this role, he facilitates protocol development, patient engagement, and outreach efforts.  

HBOT is a natural therapy approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat a wide range of disorders and disease. Some include decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, crush injury, failed skin grafts and flaps, diabetic lower extremity wounds, radiation tissue damage and thermal burns, among others. Research also suggests HBOT positively affects patients with other conditions, including anoxic and traumatic brain injuries, chronic pain, ulcerative colitis, reflex sympathetic dystrophy, musculoskeletal injury, stroke, and many others. HBOT can be used as sole treatment or in conjunction with other treatments to help optimize a patient’s recovery process.

Dr. Scott is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician Certified to Practice Health Optimization Medicine (HOMe), a specialist in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), and COO of Troscriptions (a Smarter Not Harder company).
